Communion

Communion

Communion Service is in-person at the church. However, if you cannot attend in=person and you live in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area, within driving distance of the church, you can pick up a communion kit from the church office the week before a scheduled communion service during office hours (M – Th: 8:30a – 3:30p; Fri:: 8:30a – 2p)

If you do not reside in the DMV, we can mail a kit to you, or you can self-prepare at home (details below). Request your kit here no later than the Saturday before a scheduled communion service.

To self-prepare for communion:

  • For the foot-washing service: set out a basin, bucket, or pot and towels (enough for all the participants in your home),
  • For the Lord’s Supper: set out a loaf of bread (or follow the instructions to make your own communion bread) and grape juice
  • Pour the juice into small cups or glasses, and break the bread into small pieces (enough for all the participants in your home)
  • Tune in to the worship service at 11:45 a.m. for instructions
